Purpose of Compensation in the Contracts Act

“The injured party is entitled to compensation for the damage caused to him due to the violation and its consequences and that the violator was aware or recognized in advance, at the time of concluding the contract, as a probable result of the violation.

” The purpose of this remedy is to protect the victim’s self-interest, and to restore his condition to its original state, a situation in which he would have been if not subject to a breach of contract.
