Professional ethics for lawyers are intended to preserve, first and foremost, the dignity of the profession so that unworthy lawyers will not scorn the work of advocacy.
The second purpose of attorneys’ professional ethics is to protect clients and parties in the law who an attorney’s misconduct may harm.
The lawyer has to comply with the provisions of professional ethics, which are found in three legal sources.
First Source: Charges and Prohibitions in Sections 60-53 of the Bar Association Act.
The second source is the ethics rules, which will consider at their legal level as regulations.
The third source is patterns of conduct determined by the disciplinary tribunals and publications of the committee in this matter.
