More about Haifa
A common mistake of clients concerns the limitation of a lawyer to contact the clients of the other party directly. Often, one selling an apartment asks or expects his lawyer to contact the buyer directly, bypassing the other lawyer.
For example, if the negotiations leading up to the signing of a contract are ‘stuck’ because of the buyer’s lawyer, but the lawyer is not allowed to do so, he may only turn to the lawyer who represents the buyer.
Of course, this matter can be burdensome and cumbersome, and the solution to ‘bypass’ the other party’s lawyer is to ask the broker to do so.
