Extension and non-extension of the lease
Section 25 (12a) of the Tenancy Law stipulates that the landlord shall notify the tenant a reasonable time before the end of the tenancy period if he wishes to extend the tenancy period and under what conditions. It should be emphasized that this provision cannot be conditioned on, except for the benefit of the tenant (section 25 of the Lease Act).
Section 25 (12b) of the Lease Law stipulates that if the landlord has a choice under the contract whether to extend the lease period or not, he must notify the tenant no later than 90 days before the end of the lease period whether he wishes to make the choice or not.
This is only if these conditions are set in a contract in advance.
• Section 25 (12c) of the Lease Law stipulates that if the tenant had a choice to extend the lease period under the residential lease contract, he must notify the landlord no later than 60 days before the end of the lease term whether he wishes to make the choice or not.
